Was there any info at all on the page you got these from?

In future, if there is, can you copy it along with the data? Thanks!

They were put there by member Olisan and he got them
from the site of our known Mr. Eddy Duin. No further info.

Thanks Willem,

There are only 60 files in that collection, and the Bk has many more, so it seems that it's not usable to read the data I need from the files, so I am still looking for the internal Bk-7m styles as .stl files, if anyone has them.

Thanks

The problem is that the BK series' internal styles are not accessible to be copied en masse. You basically have to individually hand copy them one by one to a stick using the arranger's internal routines. It takes forever!

On the whole, people getting a newer arranger tend to only need the few that aren't included with the ROM styles on the new arranger. They tend to copy those, and set up a file with them all, but the entire ROM set, AFAIK, has never been copied completely.

Roland E-A7 have All 433 Style from Roland BK-7m plus N Style from ethnic styles (for example VN-styles)? - who can finish this sentence?

For each of the listed Roland the styles have the same name, but different sound settings (volume, MFX e.t.c. - remastered for exceptional audio quality)

The main issue with E-A7 styles on the G/E series is that there are a few (I don't have a list) styles that use 2 drum kits (on different Parts) and the G/E series could only use one. The BK series can handle two drum kit styles, but lack some of the percussion and ethnic Kits used.

Obviously, the ethnic styles (some of them) leverage the ethnic Kits and Tones quite a bit, so a successful backwards translation is unlikely to be satisfying (or at least, accurate!) even if they only use one Kit.

Also, even on styles that are note for note identical between models, you generally have a 'polishing' of them as time passes... Better mixes, different EQ, sometimes different Tones from the same family.

We did a project not so long ago on the previous forum where we collected just about ALL the E-A7 styles, and compared them to BK-9 styles that were the same. It was quite astonishing how different some of them sounded, despite being the identical (by name and notes) style. Just changing a bass sound or a string sound can alter the overall sound of a style quite a bit.
