BK9 1 key is very quiet #821
HI
My BK9 has developed a slight problem, my second F key is very quiet, not responding to pressure.
I'm guessing that it needs opening up and the pad cleaning????
anybody done this?

Yes. We must do it very carefully. Graphite pad does not scratch, but gently wipe with cotton soaked in alcohol. Erasers are very easy to tear off, so do not pull hard. On the elastic band, you can remove the stuck dirt with the tip of the needle.

Use a pencil ONLY if a very old graphite pad, in the most extreme case

First things first...

Your BK-9 is no longer under warranty? Take Loshk's advice and do it VERY carefully if your warranty has expired. But if still under warranty, take it to your dealer or local Roland repair tech.
