70 ver 3
I have purchased a used g 70 ver 3 with software version 3.02-b001.
but there is a lack of rhythms that the previous owner has deleted.
Does anyone know where software version 3.02-b001 can be found.
Or how I solve this problem.
Thank you in advance,
I have put the update files for the Roland G-70 Arranger in the miscellaneous files section:
If you are still missing something, just ask please.
There are many user prg posted that do not work anymore,
it's possible to delete them all at once ??? or can i only delete them one by one in disk & media.
Or can you reset the entire g 70 as it was new.
Thank you in advance
User programs are containing references and instrument data for the styles to use.
If it does not find a style, you can manually edit by pointing to the style.
If a user program set is made for an internal memory it will not be able to find it
on the external memorycard etc. But you can edit them for these and save them.
Because of the fact that references to User programs and Styles are kept in
databases, you may NOT delete them with PC-USB data connection, but only in
the Arranger itself.
What I think is that the earlier owner of this g 70 has put a lot of user pgr in this g 70 where styles are not found anymore
and i will have deleted them in the easiest way,
found out i can delete them one by one in disk & media
but a long process there are about 2000 user pgr added in this g 70
I have a backup of this g70.
so how do I make a fresh install of ver 3.2.
have tried to update ver 3.2
but all the user prg are still there.
What I want is a g70 that's like when it was bought from new.
so I can put it in extra that I want to use.
and I do not have to have all the user prg on g70 drives that I do not use
a. Connect a computer USB with the USB from the G-70 Arranger
b. Make a Backup folder on your computer and copy all files over.
c. Check if the number of files are the same in source and destination.
Your Roland G-70 Arranger O.S. is already updated to V3.x, so:
d. Select on the Arranger ALL folders and delete them completely.
e. Open the G-70 V3 update archive and copy the folder (with contents)
Put New Styles Here to the G-70 Arranger memory.
f. Open the G70-V3_FactoryData archive and copy ALL folders
(with contents) to the Roland G-70 Arranger memory.
g. Restart the G-70 Arranger, check the available Styles, User Progs etc.
and let the system rework the databases till it is ready to use.
h. Load the Factory User program Set (via Disk & Media) into the Arranger.
You should be fresh again ready to go.
