Chord View SMF BK5 #859
The Chord View when I playback SMFs with lyrics shows the chord progression on the bottom left and right of the screen in realtime (The left hand chords always appear to be highlighted )

I can find no explanation in the manual about what's going on ? -Sometimes the chords displayed left and right are the same chords and at other times in song playback the chords are different ?

I've now worked it out !

The right hand chord, in Chord View, anticipates the next chord to be played (the left hand chord being the current chord being played)

I understand that this chord recognition feature of non-embedded chord midi files is unique to Roland arrangers -Neat 'eh !

IIRC, there's an issue with the BK chord display that got fixed in the E-A7...

If you use Makeup Tools to transpose a sequence to another key, the chords displayed will still be the original ones.

You will need to 'Freeze Data' and save, and then the chords will be correct.
