Hi,

With the KCW-1 discontinued, what brand and model subwoofer would be best fit to a KC350 keyboard amp?

Regards,
Morne

Hi
you just drop a message ????? No roland- arranger thing please a little morespecific info would by nice

I had to google what you are talking about and i found that you are speaking about the Roland keyboard amps.

I see what your problem is
No-more sub woofers available from Roland.

TIP
First you need to sears for powerd (aktive)Subwoofer's into the rangs of 200 watts 10/12 inch woofer (NOT TO SEARS for BASS-AMPS!!!!)

You rKC-350 has a direct sub-(line)output witch is controlled by the 3-w equalizer .So you don't need a sub with a filter/equalizer

options i found for you fo
PA:
Kustom PA112S Powered Subwoofer $200
Behringer B1200D-PRO Eurolive $350
Dynacord A-118A $750  recommend!

Options a found
home studio/HIFI:
Berhinger NEKKST k100s $225
JBL LSR 310s $400
Mackie MRS10 $400
ANT Greenhead 15S/studio-PA 1200w $450 :woohoo:

Ease up there, aviro!

Maybe check what he's asking about BEFORE you get on his case?!

What sub goes best with a keyboard amplifier (especially a Roland) is EXACTLY the sort of question to go here... And whether it is for an arranger, or a synth, or a WS or a stage piano matters very little..!

Me, one question I would have asked is, what VOLUME does the OP play at? Does he need enough sub to fill a large room, a small room, does he play light jazz stuff, or heavy EDM? The answer to that would go a long way towards being able to give a useful answer... ;)

Hi Diki,

Thank you.

Required for playing in an apx. 500 seater auditorium.

Music ranging from rock/pop, jazz and classics 'funcked' up (e.g. Karl Jenkins' Palladio with a disco rhythm).

And the keyboard is a BK-5.

My favourite is RCF EVOX 12 (in your case twice).
Also the HK Audio Lucas Nano 60x is interesting for smaller rooms.

By the way, please could you upload a little sample performance (ups file) with 2 or 3 random settings of the BK-5?
I would like test how compatible the BK-series is.

In all fairness, I wouldn't go too big with a sub for that. I don't know if I'd try to use the KC for a 500 seater show in the first place..!

Are you using this as the primary PA? That's a rather tiny little tweeter to cover that many people and that large a room. Or is this just for stage reinforcement?

I usually bring in a 2.1 PA system for this kind of size gig. Lower volume I use a Peavey Tri-Flex II system peavey.com/products/index.cfm/item/705/117536, higher volume I use a Mackie 15" powered sub and a couple of Yamaha 15" speakers with big horns www.musiciansfriend.com/pro-audio/yamaha...pair/600427000000000 Both of these get quite loud, and stay flat AND are stereo, which I think helps the overall sound of the BK's enormously.

I must confess, I've never really been a fan of keyboard combo amps for PA. They are really designed more for on stage monitoring and aren't really very flat. But if that's what you use, I'd say something like this www.amazon.com/dp/B000OY6CVI/ref=psdc_12097481011_t2_B0046LALEO would be a good, inexpensive fit. I guess it all depends how hard you thrash that poor little tweeter in the KC!
