There is a reference manual also. If you have specific questions, this would be a good place to ask.

Break it down into easily digestible chunks, Dixi. Tell us something about yourself... Is this your first arranger? What is your playing experience? How old, what type of music you like, your playing ability, etc.

Then start with the questions!

Don't try to grok everything in one go. Start out simple (how do I play a style? How do I store a setup I like? etc.) and work your way through it. There should be an easy start guide at the beginning of the manual (do you have one in your native language?). Go slow, be methodical. ask questions here when you find things that confuse you.

Most of all, try to walk before you run!

Don't dive straight into sample creation or multipad use, voice editing, sequencer use etc., until you have the basics down!

Bite size portions, chewed for quite a while! THAT'S the way to digest something. B)

Thanks for your remarks Diki Appreciate I am 79 , have been giging for over 60 yrs, was a Roland agent 1972 1996. I have very little knowledge of computers, arrangers so maybe the Roland Arranger Club is above my understanding.. Again thanks Diki For trying to sort me out. My original question was simply Is there an EA7 instruction video in English? .Your remark try to walk before you can run, made me laugh Im to old to run. (.except my fingers up the keys.) with luck.

As far as I know, there is no available simple video tutorial.

You still haven't really asked a question (other than that!). What is the problem?

Your E-A7 should basically start up with a style selected, and sounds ready to go on the keyboard, hit 'Start' and you should be up and running! If you load up the MA (Music Assistant) Performance List, there will be hundreds of setups titled for popular songs for you to play around with.

So, given that that is the easy part, what's next? What exactly are you trying to do, and what is the problem you are finding..?

I'm presuming you basically Googled 'Youtube+Roland E-A7' and have gone through what is already available..?!

As I said, show some patience, ask your most pressing problems here, and we will see what we can do for you. B)

You'd be surprised at how fast us old guys try to run, sometimes!

It is so easy to forget the weeks we spent learning something now utterly second nature, and expect that speed of comprehension later in life (when we really have to slow down a bit to understand something fully!).

Instant gratification rarely leads to a lifetime of interest... B)

I plan on making a video about Sampling and Pads on the E-A7.... very soon..

Both are easy to do.... much easier then we all thought in the beginning..

Content from the factory (lack of it) is not a big deal.. You can actually find 16bit waves on the net.. to start.. but the fun is sampling your own..

I will go through this in detail...realtime...showing the right procedure and tips..

I will also include saving samples as user tones..

Diki if you send me some of your favorite Akai samples I will convert them and make user tones to show how great the E-A7 works..
Keep in mind the sample size cannot exceed 128 mb.... I have found the average wave sample less than 25mb..

If some of you E-A7 owners need content I can upload some I downloaded off the net (about 200 waves)..
Before you try to make user tones .. read the manuals and get a better understanding how to....

I have owned the E-A7 over a year now and I like it a lot...still..
recently I added a M-Audio Code61 controller with my E-A7....you can read my review on Sweetwater about the Code61 and how I tied it to the E-A7.. www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Code61BK

I will try to get to the videos soon..
