@egibudikmd,
It may be easier to look for another used and working G70 elswhere.

Spareparts are very difficult to get and with secondhand boards it is
difficult to check if it is in good working order.
Roland E-80 V2.03 + SRX-06 + SR-G01, FC-7, PK-5, SC-8820.

Did you get Roland to quote you a price for repair? It may indeed be more expensive to get a new motherboard than it is to buy a used working G 70. But you at least ought to ask them so you know how much money you are dealing with. I had a similar issue years ago, but fortunately it was during the warranty. Roland told me I was very lucky as it would cost nearly what the instrument was worth to get a new motherboard.

At this point I would seriously consider looking at a new BK9 , Or at least a used one . There isn't much point spending a ton of money on an outdated keyboard.

Bottom line, you may end up with the same problems if you just purchase a used motherboard. I seriously recommend you go to a BK9!

There was no bigger advocate of the G70 than me during its availability. For the time, for what it did, I still think it was an extraordinary arranger. In fact, I bought two! One for backup and working on stuff at home without having to unload my truck... :woohoo:

BUT...

I still have one left (sold my best/newest one) but it hasn't been played in maybe a couple of years.

The BK-9 is THAT good!

Do yourself a favor. move on. I'm pretty sure it will cost you more to revive the G70 than a used BK-9 (maybe even a new one, if you can find one!). No, it's a VERY different beast. Light weight, the keybed isn't quite as nice (but at least as good as a PA4 or T5), no VH (I hate them all, anyway!), only 2 UPR Parts. But the sound...

OMG! :ohmy: So much better in almost every department, it is true..! Organs, brass, strings, basses, drums, you name it, the BK-9 blows the G70 away. I hate to admit it, but it's true. Add in the audio stuff, the live loops, the Chord Sequencer, the easier backup and everything on the stick, the 25lbs less weight... Yes, I miss the touch screen. That's about IT.

Let the G70 go... :evil:

He is in Jakarta Indonesia according to his profile! I'm thinking a UK or a US G70 isn't going to be practical :evil:
